We love craft beer just like you do! This month we're proud to share the following beers and breweries with members of Beer Across America.
Church Street Brewing Company
Founded in the Chicago suburb of Itasca, Illinois by the husband and wife team of Joe and Lisa Gregor, Church Street Brewing Company is a family-run, award winning brewery that utilizes traditional German brewing methods to craft a wide range of lagers and ales representing both classic and modern beer styles of European influence.
This month we're featuring their Continental Lager, a German pilsner brewed with flavors of honey buttered toast and apple scone and a bright, finely carbonated, dry-yet-fruity finish. We're also sending our members their Shony Scottish Ale, a traditional 80 Shilling Scottish-style ale with chocolate and roasted barley malts rounded out by notes of sweet caramel and a mellow roast.
RJ Rockers Brewing Company
RJ Rockers Brewing Company opened its doors in Spartanburg, South Carolina in April of 1997 on a self-described mission to provide delicious, hand-crafted beer to local residents. Originally a successful brewpub, in 2002 RJ Rockers began their transition to a production brewery and today it anchors the West End of downtown Spartanburg, affectionately and appropriately known as the Grain District.
We're excited this month to bring our members their multiple award-winning Brown Eyed Squirrel, an American-style ale with a deep brown color from a fusion of rich chocolate, caramel and black malts that was recently awarded a silver medal at the Best of Craft Beer Awards. We're also featuring RJ's Dunkulele, a seasonal, dark wheat ale with a silky mouthfeel and a slight clove and banana character by way of its German rooted fermentation.
